›Fighting For God‹
The exhibition reveals a hitherto unpublished facet of religious observance in Brazil. In the state of Bahia, there are two religions - the 500 year old Christian tradition of the Portuguese colonizers and the belief system that their slaves brought with them from Africa. That two such diverse faiths should exist, not so much side by side as within each other is probably unique.
